Destination wedding, 200 guests, 3 functions, 37 days! A time when we surpassed the clients as well as our own expectations

It all started when I received an inquiry call for a destination wedding. At first everything seemed pretty familiar until we were told that the client being an NRI has a small window the following month during which he wants the wedding to be done. We were not only supposed to draw out and present the detailed wedding plan in 48 hours, but also execute the said plan within 40 days. As intimidating as this project seemed, our experienced professionals had the challenge head-on. It took us a team of 4 members, 40 hours of continuous discussions, 100s of desperate calls with vendors, and countless cups of coffee, to draw out the complete event plan, with everything finalised from venue options to wine glasses.

As ambitious as the plan might have sounded to the client, we were able to take him into confidence, and agreed on a package price which made both the parties feel victorious. By the end we got our plan approved for a destination wedding in Udaipur, to be executed end-to-end in 37 days.

With no time to waste, we hired some part-time employees and interns from various colleges in Delhi, divided the tasks, and started checking things off from our to-dos. Having a state of the art logistic system we not only efficiently coordinated with each other but also kept the client in the loop regarding everything that was happening.

Within the first week a five star venue was booked, the Guest list was finalised and invitations were printed. In the next two weeks we sent out 200 Invitations, accommodation and flights were booked, the client visited the venue and decide on decoration and catering. During the following week pending bookings were made, professional photographers appointed for the wedding and related photo shoots, Finally in the last 8 days we organised some ceremonies for the family, managed comfortable travelling and lodging of clients and guest in Udaipur where regular activities were held. The last 3 days were set aside for the cocktail party and the wedding itself. It was some eventful days during which we with endless vendor negotiation and follow-up calls, last minute issues and improvisations, made this particular wedding project a sundae of memories for the lovely couple while keeping some sprinkles of happiness for ourselves.

And there it was once seemingly impossible task executed flawlessly with passion and love. Looking back, we identified what kept our team going was not only our love for planning events but also our commitment towards our clients to continuously perform over expectation and an endless desire to make the people’s life full of joyful and pleasant memories.
